I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan in Mar 2013
Interview
It was quite a pleasant process. After sending the enormously long application form, I was contacted in around a month and asked to visit them for the Assessment Centre.
When I got there I met three other candidates that were there for the same reason. They told there were three rounds of interviews.
The first one was a technical interview: very easy questions, including an open ended question: "think of a piece of technology/software you use everyday and describe how you would make it better". \
The second interview was about team work and "how much I know about the company". The team work bit was quite easy, I just had to describe what I've done in the past, questions included "describe when you had issues with your team and how you solved it". The bit on "what you know about JPMC" was a bit harder for me, I'm not a finance guy.
The third interview was actually a group work. I was asked to discuss with the other candidates upon given topic; "whether JPMC should switch to virtualisation or cloud computing" and we were all given information about the two choices, plus time to discuss about it in private. We had to agree in the end.
Each interview was 45 minutes long. The people were quite nice, was quite fun in the end. A bit long.
