Interview
Started with a phone screen, then a case study, followed by an in-person interview. After phone screen did not hear back, so followed-up a couple times to eventually find the HR contact was no longer employed at the firm. The replacement set me up for a case study and in-person interview. The case study was to evaluate purchase price of an asset they had previously closed on - relatively simple, but still took several hours (no Excel financials...). In-person interview went well and was mostly behavioral with maybe 10 minutes of going over the case. Unfortunately, it has been a month of emailing and calling to no avail to get a response. Turns out the HR replacement just left the firm as well and the hiring manager is not responding to calls or emails. Definitely disappointed in their lack of response given both the time commitment for the case study and interview process as well as the clearly high turnover in HR. Overall, I found this experience to be very unprofessional and hopefully this first impression is not reflective of the work environment current employees are dealing with.
