I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at JCPenney in Mar 2016
Interview
I was called about three days before the interview. The woman asked me why i wanted to work for them then she explained the interview process. It was a group interview. Four of us showed up. We did team exercises like building a tower with blocks as a group as one team member explained how to build it after looking at the model. Then we were individually asked to pitch the interviewer an idea to add on to the store. Then we did the same as a group. After we were one at a time brought to his office where we were given offers. About a week later they called and said I passed the back ground check and we scheduled training.
Easy, got hired in 1 week and was able to start as soon as possible. It was a good process and I liked the people I interviewed with. The culture is off to a positive start.
The interview process begins with an initial screening to review qualifications and experience. Selected candidates then participate in one or more interviews with the hiring team, which may include behavioral and role-specific questions. Final candidates may be asked to complete an assessment or meet with senior stakeholders before a hiring decision is made. Candidates are kept informed throughout the process.
