I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at JCPenney (Phoenix, AZ) in May 2013
Interview
I had a group interview three years ago. It was just a conference room with 5 other people. We were interviewed by the associate store manager. It was not very intimidating. It was kind of like we were all attempting to out do one another though. Three of us ended up getting offered the job. We all took it but I was the the only one of the threes till there after 2 months.

Question 1
Have you ever been in an uncomfortable situation?
How do you deal with criticism?
What would you do if other associate were not working?
How do you overcome challenges?
Easy, got hired in 1 week and was able to start as soon as possible. It was a good process and I liked the people I interviewed with. The culture is off to a positive start.
The interview process begins with an initial screening to review qualifications and experience. Selected candidates then participate in one or more interviews with the hiring team, which may include behavioral and role-specific questions. Final candidates may be asked to complete an assessment or meet with senior stakeholders before a hiring decision is made. Candidates are kept informed throughout the process.
