Quick introduction over zoom led by the recruiter, basic first round interview questions. Interviewed with the potential direct manager about a week later. Was later ghosted by both the recruiter and manager.

Very laid back, but no clear direction as to what would be next, specific job responsibilities, or location. It seemed like the interviewers were uninterested even after I had been recommended for the role.

Was called by a recruiter at 9:30 am while at my place of work. They left me a generic voicemail saying to call them back etc. Called them back the same day and got voicemail so left a message. Never heard back so called again two days later. It's been a week now and still nothing. If just trying to get a phone interview is this hard I can only imagine the only hiring process. Recruiting operations seem very dysfunctional as they reach out to you but can't be bothered to answer the phone after contacting you first. This isn't the first time this has happened for me with JCPenney either. Oh well, probably for the better anyway since they won't be around in 10 years.
