I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at JCPenney (El Paso, TX) in Nov 2012
Interview
I applied online in Nov right after black Friday...I actually had forgot I applied when I got a phone call and the next day I had an interview it was a basic interview. The man offered me the position and I came in the next day to start the training that last two full days and then I was placed out on the floor now tho the interview follows with a team building exercise where they weave out those who do not speak up and are not leaders so speak up and be loud and proud at that time because they are watching you.

Question 1
Everything was straight forward for me but like I said the interview thing has changed it is now done in a group and you play a leadership game then is deff not the time to stay quite.
Easy, got hired in 1 week and was able to start as soon as possible. It was a good process and I liked the people I interviewed with. The culture is off to a positive start.
The interview process begins with an initial screening to review qualifications and experience. Selected candidates then participate in one or more interviews with the hiring team, which may include behavioral and role-specific questions. Final candidates may be asked to complete an assessment or meet with senior stakeholders before a hiring decision is made. Candidates are kept informed throughout the process.
