I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at JD Group (Swords) in Apr 2021
Interview
The overall hiring and interview process was grand. Not formal at all.
I applied for the job and was contacted by phone within 5 days of application to come for an interview.
The only thing I wasn’t happy about was that the job was advertised as a Full Time position on their career website but when I went for the interview I was told it’s an 8 hour contract, with the hours going up with performance and also when they had the hours available.
I was offered the position about a week after my interview. However, I turned it down as like I said
it was advertised as a full time position but that’s not what I was being offered and this just doesn’t suit me at this time.
I discussed my issues with this with the hiring manager and they did go above and beyond to try and get me a better contract. They came back after a couple of days and offered me a 24 hour contract which I still decided to decline as it just didn’t suit me as I needed at least 30 hours work to make taking this job worth while.
So overall grand interview and hiring experience, helpful and friendly management.
I believe the company are not clear enough with their online job vacancies.
Also, I think they should say exactly how many hours the job is and what the contract you’ll be signing is as it’s quite vague on the job posting.
I had an in person interview where I was invited into the store. The atmosphere was friendly and they made me feel relaxed. The interview wasn't too long and quite easy.
was fairly easy just spoke about my skills and how i could contribute in a team i was asked about my availability and they are looking for flexibility being able to work an early shift whilst finishing late is a major
