I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at JD Group (Sydney) in Apr 2022
Interview
The interview process was broken into two sections; you'll be allocated into a random group and have to work with your team to select clothing based on a prompt (e.g: Family of four with kids interested in the newest Nike Dunks, and parents not interested in spending too much money). You'll be given a time limit to select any apparale in the store and present to the managers and the other interviewees and explain your rationale. Afterwards, you'll be split off into a group in the Textiles section where you'll select an item, which will be randomised and switched with another person and you'll only have 30 seconds to pitch your item to the manager. After that you'll be jumbled up again and placed in a pair where you'll need to learn their personal qualities and present this to the manager to demonstrate how sociable and personable you are. This interview determines your personality fit to the various departments (Footwear, Textiles, BOH). There is a 1-on-1 with one of the managers at the end of the group interview.
Was sat down outside the store. Asked about work experience and my availability. Few simple questions about myself and goals. super chill, easygoing, like talking to a friend. Said they would get back to me by the end of the week via message.
Not too bad I enjoyed the interview but didn’t like the assessments or the culture. I preferred something differentt and withdrew my application but maybe you will like it more than me
