I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at JD Group (Bury, North West England, England) in Sep 2025
Interview
There were two stages of the interview process. Firstly, a video call interview with one member of the team. It was a short 30min interview. Next I progressed to a face to face interview with the same person who interview me in the video call as well as one more person: the team manager. The team manager asked all the questions whilst the other chap sat bored twiddling his thumbs. The interview was a very informal chat which in not really a fan of especially when you aren't able to make all your points because the interviewer is talking to much and trying to tell me how amazing their company is. Yup it's so amazing they promised to get back to me by the end of the week yet I got no response. When I emailed them I got a 2 line response within 5 minutes so they clearly weren't very busy. The feedback they gave me was also very weak saying that I didn't have 'quite as much system experience' as the person selected. This feedback is weak because a person cannot have experience of every single system in the world. If they said they didn't think I could learn there system then it would've been fair feedback. I shall not apply for any further roles with JD Sport as I am not a fan of their American style interview and company culture. Neither am I a fan of the prison like warehouse distribution centres. If u have any morals, don't bother applying at JD.
