I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at JPMorganChase (New York, NY) in May 2026
Interview
Began with phone screen with recruiter followed by hacker rank assesment which was 2 leetode easy questions. After that coordinated a online super day which was a 3 hour long zoom interview, split into behavioral, coding, and system design.
I was given a verbal offer after a few days but salary was not what i wanted. Then i was told there would be team matching process where i would speak with at least 3 teams then be assigned. I figured i could negotiate salary at some point in that process.
One phone call was set up with a team who were difficult to talk to... They did not seem very interested in talking with me or excited to talk about what their team did.
Then after a few days i got an automated email that i would be assigned to my team soon. And i have not heard for weeks since then. I even responded to that email as well as reaching out a few times to the recruiter i spoke with originally. Heard nothing
I felt like the interview process was pretty solid up until i basically got ghosted. Definitely would have been frustrated if it was a position i was actually excited for and they paid a more competitive salary. Maybe they would have responded if i was more aggressive with my follow ups.

Question 1
System Design: essentially design a rate limiter.
Coding Question: greedy algorithm
I completed three rounds of interviews for the position, including technical assessments that evaluated my coding proficiency through practical problem-solving exercises designed to test relevant software development skills and knowledge.
Was given a leetcode problem within the first 4 mins of the interviewer. Wish I was making this up. Interviewers did not really introduce themselves besides names, straight to the code problem. The interview felt extremely cold. No soul, no passion, no discussion
Asked very scripted questions and everyone took a lot of notes. I really enjoyed the people I spoke with and they really made me think about the role and my past
