I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at JPMorganChase (Plano, TX) in Feb 2018
Interview
I applied online at the J.P. Morgan Chase website. About a week afterward I received an e-mail notifying me that I was under consideration and to complete some financial forms for the company. A recruiter set up a phone screen with the hiring manager, but was mostly not available for questions. I sent e-mails and called the number but never received a response.
The interview is done over BlueJeans (essentially Skype). The hiring manager arrived to the meeting 15 minutes late and didn't make eye contact. The questions were mostly J2EE and Java trivia. He didn't seem to care for my answers and often asked the same questions about my background multiple times. He was a generally unpleasant person. I haven't heard from HR since so presumably I'm no longer under consideration.
I completed three rounds of interviews for the position, including technical assessments that evaluated my coding proficiency through practical problem-solving exercises designed to test relevant software development skills and knowledge.
Was given a leetcode problem within the first 4 mins of the interviewer. Wish I was making this up. Interviewers did not really introduce themselves besides names, straight to the code problem. The interview felt extremely cold. No soul, no passion, no discussion
Asked very scripted questions and everyone took a lot of notes. I really enjoyed the people I spoke with and they really made me think about the role and my past
