I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Jam City (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2020
Interview
I made it to stage 3, which was a video call interview. The interviewer had a very vague way of asking questions, and yet had a very narrow-minded expectation for the answers. He also didn't listen very well to my answers. For instance, on some of my answers he didn't like, he tried correcting me but pretty much repeated what I had just said. He also seemed distracted during the interview. I saw him looking away a lot, and either around his room or computer. It made me wonder if someone else was in the room. Then, he rushed towards the end of the call. Not once did he address me by name. Also, before the interview, they insisted that I download and play their mobile apps... but to me that was just a waste of time since I wasn't asked any questions regarding their apps.

- Not too many algorithm questions more focus on experience
Got contacted by the recruiter, she was friendly and everything. It was an entry level position so i made it clear I didn't have any experience in game development and she reassured me that they were basically looking for someone with a solid coding background so I moved forward. I got scheduled for an interview with a Senior who started asking questions about game development until he said that there are candidates with gaming experience that are a better fit. It's the well known policy -let's hire someone with experience for an entry level position and salary. What a waste of my time
