I interviewed for a data analyst position with an emphasis on analytics for sales and go to market teams. It was a pretty standard interview process - I interviewed with the hiring manager, then interviewed with the internal analytics team and the go to market team, and finally had a third technical interview with the hiring manager where I had to write out a few SQL queries and interpret findings from a graph. The process wasn't easy, but it wasn't overly difficult either.
I've had past interviews with take home exams that require hours on end of work - all before you even talk to the hiring manager. These have always felt pretty unfair and difficult. I'm so glad I got to talk to everyone and do a live technical interview instead. I got to ask questions and talk through my thought process when writing out the queries, which I think helped illustrate my proficiency with SQL. In the end I accepted the offer and couldn't be happier with the whole interview process.
