Was contacted by an outside recruiter. Had two interviews (phone, Skype) with the agency. Following day had phone interview with two members of the hiring team. They seemed to fear my management experience. I assured them, I thought, that I'm a strong individual contributor. Was give positive feedback and was told they would let the agency know. Waited and waited. No word. I had to contact the agency only to discover an offer was made to someone else and was asked if that person turned down the offer would I still consider??!!! Told them I'm not 2nd best and removed myself from candidacy. What a big waste of time for me.
