Interview
It is a pretty in depth hiring process, which includes taking some tests. If you don't do well on tests, you are probably in trouble. You will most likely work with a recruiter that will help you through the process, and give you some insight as to who you will be interviewing with and what there role is with the company. You will have to take a Wonderlic Test before they will even interview you, and for most jobs you must have at least a Bachelors Degree to even be considered. Also, if you have industry experience, downplay it as it may work against you here. The people at Hardie have there own language, and you are expected to learn it, understand it, and speak it. The final phase of the Interview process is a panel interview (possibly at a corporate office) in which you meet with managers from different parts and levels of the company. You most likely will have to answer questions to 2-3 groups of 4-5 people. If you do well in this group interview, be prepared for an offer within 48 hours.

Interview
Interview process was long and intricate. I was contacted by a recruiter and we had a quick phone screen where we talked about my basic qualifications. He passed me along to the hiring manager and I had a phone interview with him about 2 weeks after my initial interview. We spoke about my work history and my sales experience. The next step was a face to face with the hiring manager which lasted about an hour and we detailed all of my past sales accomplishments in great detail. He liked the way the interview had went and invited me to the next step in the interview process on the spot. The next step was a combine interview about a month after the face to face and involved interviewing with 4 people at the same time. They each spent some good time going through my resume and picked apart any experience I've had that matches the qualifications of this job. After the combine interview I was contacted about 24 hrs later and offered the job. The whole process took about 3 months.

Interesting... I was questioned about my 3.6 GPA and was told that I worked too hard to get it when I could have had more fun in college and still got by. Panel interview: 3 rooms of 3 people.

Three to four phone screens. Standardized testing. Wonderlic IQ test being the most important. Regardless of experience, credentials, references, etc unless you pass the Wonderlic they will not interview you face to face. Confrontational feel to interview, defending your past experience. A lot of situational examples. Some role playing of scenarios during the interview. 2-3 face to face interviews. Some in groups, has feel of good cop/bad cop.
