I was reached out by an external recruiter that was working closely with James Hardie (JH) internal recruitment team for the position of Sr. BI Analyst position based out of Mission Viejo, CA. I had HR phone screening in the morning followed by a phone screening by Director of Information Systems same evening. It appeared that JH was trying to move quickly to fill the position. I was asked to take an online assessment test in next day or so. Next week I was required to come in for an in-person interview with the IS team that consisted of both functional and technical interview panelists. At the beginning of the interview process I was asked to take the assessment test again and was told that the one I took online didn't count as it was a practice test. All sessions were one-on-one and the whole interview lasted about 4 hours. Few days later I was informed by the recruiter that JH would like for me to come in for a second round of in-person interview with business users and a couple of Business Analysts (BA's). Once I got in I was told that I will need to take the assessment test again since the last time around I didn't answer enough questions on the test. After I re-took the assessment test I met up with 3 interview panelists at the same time...2 Business Analysts and a HR manager. The questions were mostly functional in nature but once in a while got technical. The session lasted about an hour. The interview process was concluded by Director of Information Systems. In couple days, I had the job offer in my hand :-)
