I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Jane Street
Interview
I had two interviews. Someone emailed me, set up and interview over email, and then I got a call at the agreed time, a few days later. The first one was with someone who seemed very enthusiastic and knowledgeable, who asked deep challenging questions. The second person asked straightforward algos questions and didn't understand the algorithm I was trying to describe to him over the phone.

Question 1
Which 2-letter POSIX command is different from all the others?
The process started with an initial virtual round, followed by an onsite interview. It included a mix of system design and coding problems focused on real-world system applications. Unfortunately, I didn’t perform well in the onsite, which was the most critical stage.
It was a very quick and painless process. Recruiter very responsive, kind interviewers. High implementation and difficult problems, so failed onsite after 3 interviews and a Question and Answer Session.
Did not pass the initial coding round. I tried to explain my thought in details to the interviewer but failed to translate my thought into code. So far interviewer is very nice.
