      Software Engineering Internship Interview

      Feb 27, 2021
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Jane Street in Dec 2020

      Interview

First time I applied I was rejected after the coding test, now applied again and got into the interview stage. First stage was a phone interview with an easy-medium question. Got feedback after about a week, and passed. Then, I was invited for a half day of interviews, where the questions were harder. I had an offer deadline so they told me they'd give me a response within 24 hours, which they did. They also sent me a bit of merch after the phone interview. Overall a great experience.

      Question 1

Obviously not gonna share the questions, but they weren't too algorithmically demanding, rather implementation-heavy

      Interview

OA sent immediately. Then a phone interview. Then a three hour panel interview. The phone interview is somewhat chill, but the OA is difficult. The time limits especially make it difficult.

      Question 1

Dynamic Programming, Algorithms questions. Can code in any language.

      Interview

It was a very nice interview - they don't make you run your code and they're much more interested in your thought process. I think it was the ideal coding interview

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They gave me a programming question with multiple parts that got harder and harder
