I typically do not write up reviews, especially for jobs… but this one definitely deserves one. I applied for a few jobs on the Jane Street website and the following week I was contacted by an in house recruiter for one of the positions I had applied to. I needed clarity on which position this was for since I applied to a few of them and she could not have made it anymore clear that it was for the “Datacenter Facilities Engineer”. The first interview was a phone screen with an Engineer from the team, then I had another phone interview with the hiring manager. I was invited to come into the office to “meet the team” and continue with the interviewing process. The day of the interview(s) I interviewed 5 different times with 10 different people. At the end of the last set of people, the interviewer recalled that this was for the Facilities Engineer position and had the in house recruiter attempt to fix their mistake that this was for another position. A few days later, I did not receive an offer and it left a bitter taste in my mouth. I will never work for a company this disorganized. Good luck to others.
