Interview
Submitted my application and then was given a take home excel exercise. The initial consultation with the hiring manager was positive and they were very friendly and helpful.
The take home task seemed fairly straightforward. It was essentially working out the expected delivery date of some bakeries' produce given certain criteria (essentially a load of IF statements), working out the deficit of some imaginary bakeries produce using the data provided (I.e. data of baked goods' delivery, date of baled goods' picked up by customers etc.), how to eliminate that deficit in the specific dates provided, and a strategy to eliminate that deficit in future. All completely straightforward and I thought I had completed this well.
I was then told that my application wouldn't be continued. Of course I was upset and confused, but I addressed it and asked for some feedback to see where I had made some mistakes (I'm usually quite prone to making silly mistakes or not reading the information provided properly). I was expecting just a copy of my review or something similar, or at the very least whether it was the take home exercise I had messed up or my cover letter. I don't want to detail the specifics of their response as to not reveal my identity to Jane Street, but it very well could have been ripped straight out of David Graeber's book, specifically the chapter that describes how HR departments are often there to give the veneer that they're doing something about a specific issue by using non-commital language when in reality nothing will change. To paraphrase, they essentially said that 'whilst we want to give everyone personalised feedback and we understand you might have questions about the application, this isn't part of our process.' I would have much preferred it if they had said "no" when I asked for feedback rather than providing a paragraph that said the exact same thing.

Excel based assessment, which you have a few days to complete. Then to phone interview with problem solving questions and brainteasers. Then final round with questions on materials they provide in advance.
