There are some companies that only interview people to get free consulting and seems to have very little to no interest in hiring the "candidates", and by the questions I was asked in this interview, and the iterations with the recruiter, I'd say this is one of those companies.
If you check the reviews for their app, which seems to have a myriad of bugs along with an irate user base, this company which is not backed with any funding, doesn't seem like they're going to be around very long.
"Nimbus" seems to reflect the attitude and personality of their owners.

Question 1
Coding "challenges" to fix bugs currently in their application.
Thanks for taking the time to interview here at JobNimbus! One of the most critical parts of our interview process is ensuring candidates have the right skill set and mindset for the position-- especially on the dev side-- and we've found the best method is having candidates try out coding tests that are similar to the experience of working in the product itself. We apologize if that aspect of the interview made you feel like a consultant rather than a candidate, and we guarantee all our open positions are designed to be filled by a full-time team member. Feel free to keep us in mind for future opportunities!
