      I interviewed at Jobber

      Interview

Process went like this: 1. Recruiter chat 2. Hiring manager chat. 3. Take home assignment. It was a written assignment with some essay questions about SRE, AWS, and some questions on Ruby and Bash scripting. Took a while to fill it out. 4. Panel interview with 3 team members who asked me about some stuff from my resume. They didn't follow up on anything I wrote in the take home — I suspect they didn't read it very closely if at all. I had thin answers that I expected to be challenged on. 5. Executive interview with a VP with some behavioral questions. 6. Offer call. Whole process was mostly conversational, no technical round per se just questions about my experience and projects I worked on. Everyone I talked to was kinda the same guy. I'd steer clear if diversity is something you care about. Nice folks but seemed a bit of a monoculture. Offered pay was okay for Canada, equity was very low, benefits and perks were decent.
