I applied online. I interviewed at Jobber in Dec 2024
Interview
I only got the phone screen. It was a typical phone screen. I am super suprised I didn’t pass it as I have the exact unicorn experience they’re looking for, customs onboarding for a two sided CRM within a niche saas industry.
Must be out of my control. Maybe it was just meant for an internal candidate. Maybe I stumbled on the call, really suprised.
It’s a 4 stage interview process which is crazy for such a mid level role. You have to do a mock demo for step 3 which I assume is unpaid. I don’t love multi step interviews because most people can’t take that much close together time off work for the off chance they will get a job.
The first 2 stages of the interview process were great, a typical phone screen and then a video interview with the hiring manager and another team member. The third stage was a case study which was 2 mock phone calls followed by a mock email. I did extensive research and thought I had nailed it - until the interviewer started throwing out random, product-specific questions that I couldn't possibly know the answer to unless I worked for the company. At the end of the interview they gave me feedback - all of which was positive + 1 minor piece of constructive feedback. Got a rejection email 3 days later with no information or feedback as to why until I inquired. As suggested in my rejection email, I ended up applying for a slightly lower role about a month later and was sent an almost immediate rejection email.
Overall the experience was really disappointing and confusing. I've been on both ends of case studies - interviewer and interviewee - and have never encountered such a hard case study that sets you up to fail.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Jobber (Edmonton, AB) in May 2025
Interview
The recruiter call was seemless and I thought the team call was great too but I didn't get the job. I asked for feedback and I was given - which is great
