Jobber Senior Software Developer interview questions

The first stage was a 15 minute phone screen interview. The next stage was a take home assignment followed by a longer technical interview where two technical people tried to understand where I was at a technical level. The last stage was a values interview. I was in contact with one recruiter throughout the whole process which keeps communication consistent and feels more personal. All stages of the process we’re clearly explained up front. The technical interviewers really gave me a chance to show them how I think. Overall the technical interviewers we’re testing/looking for tacit knowledge rather than explicit knowledge which is a very good sign. The interview dedicated solely to core values is another good sign. Some companies hire based on technical ability first and foremost which can lead to a multitude of culture issues. The one negative during my experience was some delay in communication after the final stage, however, from what I was told, the delay was due to changes outside the hiring team’s control. Jobber is growing rapidly and I’ve been on a hiring team with constantly changing directives and priorities before so I understand why there was a delay there and I feel the hiring teams pain. Overall the process was extremely pleasant. It seems like Jobber has something special and I am disappointed I was unable to join the Jobber team.
