I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Jobot in Mar 2020
Interview
I applied online and received a phone call within a couple of days from a recruiter. She mostly asked about my recruiting experience and previous sales numbers.
A couple of days after speaking with the first recruiter, I received a call from the Recruiting Manager I would have worked with. Again, mostly just asking about my numbers and motivation.
After several more calls spread across a couple of weeks I felt a lot like I was being strung along. I didn’t know WHY though, so I hoped for the best and crossed my fingers that it was a timing thing.
Finally I received a request to come and meet the CEO in person. I had to pay for my travel expenses, but I would be reimbursed. After purchasing a flight, my in person interview was cancelled (supposedly due to the Coronavirus). I was not able to get a refund for my flight, only a voucher.
Several days later I was contacted by the first recruiter and basically rescreened. She had forgotten everything I had told her during the first several conversations I had had with the team. At this point I knew it was all a bunch of talk and they were playing a numbers game. I wasn’t “one in 10,000 that was selected for and interview”, I was “one OF 10,000”.
After rescreening me, the recruiter must have decided I wasn’t a good fit because they never rescheduled the final interview either in person or virtual. Could have saved me a lot of time and energy (not to mention the cost of a flight!) if she had just came to that conclusion one of the first SEVERAL times we spoke.
Looking back I can’t help but feel I dodged a bullet.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What were your sales numbers in previous positions?
You will have an initial phone screening by internal recruiter and then another phone screening by a manger of a specific team. If there’s interest you will be invited to a virtual interview with the manager and he/her leader where they will dive into your skills etc. If that goes well you will be invited to another virtual interview where you will do a role play. You will be on teams meeting with up to three leaders, and then if you do well there you will have a final call with the Chief Growth Officer

I applied online. I interviewed at Jobot (Los Angeles, CA) in Dec 2025
Interview
I applied to a job online and almost immediatly a voice chatbot called me. I was not interested in being interviewed by a machine. If I came onboard I might have to subject my candidates to the same. I will pass on this company.
