Had several phone/video interviews over a three week period. Then had in person interviews with Hiring Manager and various team members. Everyone was very nice and provided a lot of information about the position. Several weeks passed and I followed up and was told by the recruiter, that the Hiring Manager was on vacation, thought very highly of my interview and was hoping for good news very soon. A week later I received the auto generated “rejection” email. A week later the position was reposted with a different title. Because of that, I determined, I was probably under qualified, which is understandable. Overall the process was good and well executed. My only suggestion is, if a candidate has gone through the entire process and it is determined they are not a good fit, at least call them or send them a more personalize email, give them more feedback than the standard, auto generated email. Job seekers understand that they are not going to be a good fit for every position they apply to, but giving good feedback will help them on their next interview. You need to leave the candidate better than how you found them.
