I applied for this position online and received an email from the company the following day asking to set up a phone interview with the hiring manager. I was told their Director of Talent Acquisition usually handles the phone interviews, but he was going on vacation and they did not want to delay the interview process. I spoke with the Director of Content Marketing about two days later and had a really pleasant phone call with her. She was very easy to talk to, asked interesting questions, and really made me feel comfortable throughout our conversation. However, I was told I would hear back from them in a about a week, whether they were interested in me or not, and I never heard a thing. I sent a thank you email and then two follow up emails, one to each person, and never received a response. Don't tell potential candidates they'll be hearing back if you can't even send a simple response. It's insulting and makes the entire process feel like a complete waste of time.
