I actually did not get an interview as I did not come from, and I quote, "the tech industry." After telling the recruiter I actually do have SaaS experience, I was told, "we need someone from like VMWare, Cisco etc." What a backwards way to interview. Only targeting certain companies instead of the best talent available. Honestly, I'm glad this happened before I interviewed or potentially got an offer as it gave me a view into their poorly managed company.
