I had a phone call with the hiring manager for 30min which went very well - she provided info about the role, asked questions, etc. I then received an email later from the recruiting coordinator saying they 'are extremely excited to be moving forward'. Awesome! The next step was a 2.5 hour meeting - so I took a half day off work to accommodate. I then receive an email telling me the position has been filled. In normal circumstances, I'd brush it off - these things happen. Except, I received the email from a no-reply address that was obviously a template. It also got sent the evening before my interview. No feedback, no apologies, nothing. Hands down the least professional HR I've ever interacted with - ironic.
