I applied via LinkedIn. A few weeks later I was contacted by the company to set up a phone interview with the hiring manager. The phone interview went great and the hiring manager told me on the phone that she was pushing me through to the next round (case study). The next day I was contacted by HR saying the hiring manager decided to go with someone else and I was no longer being considered for the position. HR has not provided any specific feedback. It was a bit mystifying considering how well the phone screen went.
