      Director Interview

      Mar 14, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Reston, VA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at K12 (Reston, VA) in Mar 2018

      Interview

HR phone screen followed by an in person and then a second phone interview. It was handled pretty poorly on all fronts. The interview was crammed into 20 minutes because when the receptionist called HR to let them know I was there, HR never came down. The interview was scheduled for an hour, but when it started the guy said he only had a half hour and then 10 minutes of that was taken by HR not coming to the receptionist area where I was told to report. (And I got there 15 minutes before the start time). They set up a second phone interview with HR after the in person, and that person called 15 minutes past the scheduled time. And there was no communication from my in person. It was all the same questions. I was confused of the purpose. I had to continually be the one reaching out for updates. When they emailed me to say I did not get the position, the email said the CIO wanted HR to get other candidates and there were no additional details or feedback to share with me.
