I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at KCG (Jersey City, NJ) in Mar 2012
Interview
Lots of quantitative questions, you should focus on knowing probability questions and market structure and be knowledgeable about different asset classes. Fit is pretty important and how one would interact with the team. Basically went through a phone probability question interview by 2 people. If that went well then it was a 6 person all day interview process. You learn about the decision in about a week. Sometimes might take longer if they are interviewing several other candidates. There is also a back ground check where 3 references are called.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at KCG (New York, NY) in Mar 2019
Interview
Many rounds, most people friendly and professional. MD not great. Forgot the meeting the first time. Came back after a few days and seemed very distracted. Traders (potential peers) good and on point.
