I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at KIPP DC (Washington, DC) in Jan 2017
Interview
I applied via an online application and was then selected to move to the phone interview round. Prior to the phone interview, I had to send over a copy of my unofficial transcript for the recruiter. The phone interview lasted about an hour and included the usual questions (Why KIPP? Tell me about a time when, etc). If you are selected to move beyond a phone interview, you'll complete a writing sample and a reference form before the in-person interview at a school in the area with principals and other school leaders. At that interview, you'll teach a sample lesson plan to a room of fellow applicants and school leaders, and then complete one-on-one interviews with the leaders.
