I was contacted via email for this position to set up a phone interview. I did the phone interview. That was very simple, asked me about a time I had a conflict with someone in the workplace. I moved forward and was scheduled for an on-site interview about a week later. It started off strange to me as they said I would be given an exercise to complete while I was there and would be provided a laptop if I didn’t bring one. The on site interview was about 2.5 hours long and met with at least 4 people, usually answering some of the same questions over and over again. The exercise was strange to do, considering this wasn’t a technical position, and it was hardly discussed after I completed it within the 30 minute time frame I had to do so. It seemed to go very well, but they did seem all over the place. They did tell me in the interview that there is a back log of HR work and Emails that would need to be caught up on, and basically saying they haven’t got anything under control. The interview went well besides that. The kicker is, after all of this, I finally heard back from them by receiving a very generic email on a Saturday morning that said something about them receiving many applications and they weren’t going forward with mine... well, they already did? It didn’t make sense, especially after the lengthy interview and strange exercise all they can send out is a generic rejection email they send to applicants prior to the interview process. I don’t know too much about this organization, but they definitely need some help.
