My colleagues in education warned me to stay away, but it was such an exciting opportunity I couldn't resist.
Waited for a month to hear, did an online screen which gave me no opportunity to ask questions. This felt weird but I thought hey, education companies have to run lean- should have taken it as a sign. Then I waited another month before hearing back that they'd like to proceed immediately and make decisions in less than two weeks.
Had a great call with the hiring manager, was given an assignment that they estimated would take 4-6 hours. Gave up a personal commitment to turn it in two days later, and then never heard from them, not even a thank you for the submission. Horrible experience.
