I interviewed at KIPP Schools (New York, NY) in Mar 2015
Interview
The interview process was not long at all. I first showed interest by telling someone who knew someone that worked at Kipp NYC that I was interested in learning more about there schools. Someone responded within a matter of 2days and asked me to give them my availability so we could talk and of course have a phone interview. The phone interview went well, it was just like a regular conversation. I was then able to go to the next round and have an interview in the school that I choose, which of course had available positions. I arrived at the school, with a demo lesson, and was given a details schedule of my day. I was able to tour the school, spend some time in different class rooms and talk to staff before I did my demo. The principal of this particular school, was very helpful and hands on. After my demo, I was scheduled time to talk to an educator discussing any questions I had that I could get answers to from an educators perspective working in the school. Then I had a debrief of my lesson with the principal. I was offered the job the next day!
went very well not very jard at all starts with intro meeting pannel and everyone then tour of school , teach demo lesson get feedback then have final interview, overall the interview was very seamless and felt more so like having a conversation.

basic questions about education and who youy are as a teacher.
One-Sided video interview, had to record myself answering questions and only had one minute to think and recorded the answer with one re-take.
Very dystopian type of interview with zero chance to ask questions.
Also do not know what they will do with the video of my face and voice.

I applied online. I interviewed at KIPP Schools (Atlanta, GA)
Interview
I have applied to KIPP four times. Each time I have made it to the one-way interview where they send you a link to record yourself answering a set of questions. Each and every time I have been ghosted. No communication whatsoever. No real follow-up. Their communication is terrible, so don’t assume anything when you get that one-way interview.
