First, I completed the online application. Then, after a few back and forth email conversations with a friend of a friend who works at KIPP Austin, I was set up for a phone call with a KIPP Austin Recruiter. This call only lasted about 20 minutes. Then, about a week later, they got back in touch to set up phone calls with specific school principals. Those phone calls lasted 45 minutes to 1 hour. The next step in the process was to either submit a video of my teaching or go visit the schools in person for a sample lesson.
