I was asked to complete a time-sensitive, technical assignment under the impression that the team was eager to move forward.The assignment was in my wheel house but after investing significant effort to meet their urgent deadline, I was met with days of silence, followed by a generic rejection. Advice to Management: Ensure that the level of urgency requested from a candidate is matched by the transparency of the hiring team. Asking for "urgent" technical work only to provide no feedback and a sudden pivot in direction creates a discouraging candidate experience.
