I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at KPMG in Oct 2012
Interview
1. Four-part test (logic, accounting, english, personality), roughly 2 hours or less
2. On site interview with department heads
Most questions were related to accounting incl. several accounting problems I had to solve. I was asked how I would react in certain situations when working with clients. And of course the standard "Why did you choose accounting/controlling?" and "Why us and not another big 4 firm?"
Rigid corporate environment, people were friendly but cold at the same time.

The interview process at KPMG was straightforward but rigorous. I completed an online assessment, followed by a video interview, and then a panel interview with case questions. The team was professional, and the timeline was reasonable, taking about a month from application to offer.
