      Content Developer Interview

      Oct 10, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      New York, NY
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kaplan (New York, NY) in May 2015

      Interview

I went through a double pronged process. 1st stage was to determine if I was a qualified professional and second was on my temperament. I had no problem proving them the the 1st. The 2nd portion turned out into a full blown psych analysis by my former boss (now fired from the company). Needless to say I had a full on verbal debate and discussion, which was not pleasant at times. I stood my ground. I didn't loose my temper. I stayed close to my message. Despite all that I was hired on the spot. I am happy to report that that individual no longer works with the Kaplan. Interview process has become less formal.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      1. How would you solve x, y, z? 2. Where do you see yourself in the future x years? 3. Why do you think you will be a good fit for the organization?

      Content Developer Interview

      Dec 19, 2022
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Remote
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Kaplan (Remote) in Oct 2022

      Interview

First I was contacted by a recruiter for a brief interview, then proceeded to talk with the manager and then several team members. The first meeting was to set expectations for the job and salary and make sure there was mutual interest--very general questions, and the recruiter mostly educated me on details of the job and team. Second meeting was more to gauge my suitability for the job, and was quite friendly and relaxed. Third meeting was with three team members. It was a little distracting as one was in the car at the time and it was hard to connect to three people at once. Questions were mostly a repeat of earlier interviews (e.g. 'tell us about yourself') In general the interview questions were easy but boring, and the process felt repetitive and uninspiring. Afterwards, despite being told I'd hear back shortly, it took several more weeks and a couple follow-ups from me before I received a rejection, giving me the impression that I would've been ghosted had I not been proactive. Overall mediocre experience.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Pretty standard questions: what drew you to the job, tell me about yourself, tell me about your remote work experience. At later stages slightly more specific questions: how do you approach content which is outside your area of expertise, how do you solve challenges, how do you approach teamwork
