Interview
It was a super bizarre process. First it was an online interview where they recorded you answering five questions. I can’t even remember what the questions were but there were a couple really challenging ones, something about research based models. I got an email from the principal asking if I could come in for an interview and when I got there there were about 15 people interviewing. We all sat down in the library and watched a video then answered some questions on a piece of paper that they later reviewed. There was a panel of about 10 teachers watching all of us interviewees. We all sat at tables in small groups then they gave us craft supplies to make a kitchen utensil with our group. I guess they were just trying to see how we work in a group together. We presented our utensil to the panel then the panel split up around the library and we all rotated around to each person and answered one or two questions very quickly. The entire process took about 2 1/2 hours. I did not move on to round two but round two would have been teaching a 15 minute lesson then a formal interview.

Interview
To get an interview, they must review the typical application along with a video interview. The video interview was a little awkward; however, felt good knowing that they would see my personality prior to choosing to sit down with me. The actual interview was from a list of preprinted interview questions that were a little impersonal and just a way to check a box.
