As with most academic positions, the interview process was long and drawn out. There was an initial application process, then a video conference interview with the search committee, then an on-campus interview. Communication in between these 3 steps was sometimes uneven, and there was not a lot of departmental involvement outside of the search committee. But everyone was fair and pleasant. They call references.
