Interview process was fine, structured by meeting students and staff, then direct coworkers, then the director. The issue came in when I asked the director (Dr. Lyons) how much the salary would be. She told me $56k. 2 weeks later, I got called and offered the job, but they stated after running me through an “experience calculator” they would only offer me $42k. $14,000 is far too much taken from the initially discussed salary. Further, I was directly misled by the director. She never once mentioned an experience calculator or anything, she explicitly said “the salary will be $56k.” I know there was another contender, but they must have turned down the measly salary as well, because the job was just posted on LinkedIn again. Don’t fall for it, value yourself.
