      Graduate Consulting Sales Role Interview

      Sep 22, 2021
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Keyence (London, England) in Jul 2021

      Interview

The first round was a HireVue online interview, in which candidates were given an on-screen prompt and had three minutes to record their response. The single prompt was "Why are you a good fit for this role?" The second round was a mechanical comprehension test, similar to a Bennett test. The third round was a day-long assessment involving a morning seminar, to familiarise candidates with the company and role, and two interviews over Webex.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Candidates were asked to partake in a roleplay, in which they played a salesperson, and the interviewer was a potential customer. Candidates had five minutes to establish what the customer was looking for, persuade them to purchase an item which fit their need, and close the sale or set up a follow-up meeting.

      Graduate Consulting Sales Role Interview

      Apr 30, 2021
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Dublin, Dublin
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Keyence (Dublin, Dublin) in Mar 2021

      Interview

Unnecessarily long and drawn out interview process. Began with online video recording interview, a mechanical reasoning test, a day with two separate interviews in a virtual "assessment center" then a final interview with head of department and MD of UK and Ireland. Was offered the role. The contract they ask you to sign includes a signing away of rights to working time act, restricts ownership of other company shares, a 12 month non compete amongst other things. Huge red flags and, as such, I turned the offer down and others should too if they don't want to be taken advantage of. Also the training is in the UK for 8 weeks of going over and back every Friday and Sunday. This is not mentioned in the job description or at any stage in the interview process, I had to ask about it.
