      Technical Leader Interview

      Oct 23, 2025
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kforce in Oct 2025

      Interview

I recently went through an interview process managed by Taller and Kforce for a client company, and I’d like to share some reflections on the experience. Overall, the process was well-organized, and I truly appreciated how both teams handled it. The HR representative from Taller was exceptionally kind, professional, and empathetic — she guided me clearly and made the experience feel respectful and transparent. The Kforce team was also professional and courteous throughout, which I really valued. That said, I left the interview feeling somewhat frustrated. I genuinely believe I was capable of succeeding in this position. During the technical part, I identified early on that the problem in the code was related to the return type — I even mentioned that the exception wasn’t returning anything. Unfortunately, it seems that point might have gone unnoticed, and the focus shifted elsewhere. In hindsight, a recording might have shown that I had raised that detail at the very beginning. I also felt that, for a Tech Lead position, the coding challenge was a bit simpler than expected, which led me to explore other parts of the code instead. I later realized that my initial observation may not have been fully understood, and perhaps that contributed to the decision not to move forward. While I completely respect the outcome, I did feel disappointed and a bit sad afterward — I truly wanted this opportunity. I’m confident that I could have delivered great results and contributed meaningfully to the project, which seemed to be a perfect fit for my skills and experience. Having dealt with complex issues, including debugging Linux driver problems, I don’t feel that the coding exercise fully reflected my capabilities. In the end, I think both sides lost a bit from this outcome: I missed the chance to work on a project that aligned perfectly with my background, and they might have missed someone genuinely committed and passionate about their work. Despite that, I remain grateful for the experience and for the professionalism shown by both Taller and Kforce throughout the process.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The interview process consisted of a 30-minute video call that began with questions about my professional background, previous projects, and technical experience. After that, there was a brief coding exercise focused on reviewing a small function that contained a few logical and structural errors. My task was to analyze the code, identify the problems, and explain how I would correct them. The conversation was straightforward and technical, giving some insight into my reasoning and problem-solving approach, though the challenge itself was quite simple for a Tech Lead position. Overall, the process was well-organized and professionally conducted.
