Kickstarter Senior Data Scientist interview questions

I was contacted a couple weeks after submitting an application online - The recruiter explained that they had paused hiring for the role, but just recently resumed the process. Had a phone call with a recruiter followed by a conversation with the hiring manager, and then a take-home. Much of a data scientist's role is to ask the right questions of the data and I found the questions on the take home to be a bit strange ( I didn't see how they would connect to a business problem). I didn't move forward after the take-home. Kickstarter didn't provide any feedback on the take-home, which is incredibly frustrating when candidates are spending 3-5 hours on this process per application.
