I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Kiewit Corporation (Vancouver, BC) in Aug 2013
Interview
Applied online and got a call from HR for an initial phone screening and was told I would hear back from another HR. The second HR called and discussed the position in detail and asked mostly about goals, ambitions etc. I was also sent an online IQ quiz which was easy but long. Then, I had an in-person interview with HR and a Project Engineer - Interview wasn't very technical and they continuously emphasized if I am willing to put in long hours and willing to travel to project sites and different locations on short notice. A final interview was with a Senior Manager who just wanted to tell me more about the job role, company and career growth etc.
Talked to a recruiter first then talked to a senior manager in my position. You could talk job language with and could definitely relate to each other on day to day job experience
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Kiewit Corporation (Omaha, NE) in Aug 2025
Interview
Nice and easy two rounds. Not too much focus on technical. Mainly to see your personality. No need to be to worry about it. Smooth and efficient. Got 1 hr interview + 2 rounds and offer within 3 weeks of applying.
Overall an easy process. Had a phone screening and then went to an interview onsite followed by tour of yard. Talked to three different interviewers. The company hosted me with a paid for car and hotel.
