I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Kikoff
Interview
Extremely unprofessional, feels like I dodged a bullet. As others noted, process was weirdly casual and I found myself interviewing with primarily more junior candidates for a more senior role. Quality of recruiting team is frankly unacceptable. I had to follow up 3 times to get case study material, had 1 no show interview with zero communnication from the recruiting team, another interviewer be 15 minutes late to a 30 minute call and an interview cancelled 1 hour before with an automated notice sent the day after it was originally scheduled. Scope of role very unclear, made it to a final round interview and left confused about the role/why I was even a candidate based on how this employee viewed the scope of the role vs what I had discussed with the hiring manager. Honestly just frustrated I wasted time interviewing here - would advise quality talent to look elsewhere.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Kikoff
Interview
Hiring Manager no showed interview with no communication leaving me to wait in an empty call. Reached out to recruiter for them to then say they filled the position.
Unprofessional, disrespectful, and a huge waste of time preparing for an interview that never came. Kicker is that the recruiter reached out to me about the role first.
The process started promisingly—the phone call with the hiring manager was set up quickly after I applied online, and a recruiter efficiently coordinated the next steps.
The interview itself was a completely different story. The hiring manager seemed unprepared and disorganized. Started by providing an overview of the role, the rest of the interview felt unfocused and unprofessional. Instead of engaging in a meaningful discussion about my relevant skills and experience, they asked unrelated questions, seemingly making them up on the spot.
To make matters worse, the interviewer fixated on minor discrepancies in my background, creating an unnecessarily confrontational atmosphere. I left the conversation feeling uncomfortable, disheartened, and unsure of why I was even considered for the position if they weren’t clear on what they were looking for.
