I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kin Insurance (Indianapolis, IN) in Jan 2022
Interview
It’s a multi-step interview process. You start out with a recruiter and then a back to back peer interview. Finally you meet with the Customer Service Director. These were fairly short and easy to fit into your schedule. This was my first time doing a full interview process remotely. It was overall a great experience! I enjoyed their culture and the entire hiring process. While I wasn’t offered the role, I will certainly consider another one in the future.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Kin Insurance (Las Vegas, NV) in Mar 2022
Interview
I will say I was very excited and thankful for the opportunity to interview with Kin insurance. Their product and culture was very aligned with what I was looking for, given my insurance background.
The recruiter scheduled a phone interview with me and my time on the phone with her went well. The conversation was very positive & she was saying all the right things to make me think I was progressing to next steps (Including: "I want to move you to the next step in the process.") Before the phone interview was over, I received an email asking me for my availability for the next interview.
I provided my availability for the next 5 days (they said the process is very quick) and also followed up with the recruiter to thank her for her efforts in getting me in front of the hiring manager.
I waited a few days with no response or invite to the next interview so I followed up to see if they needed a better time as the 5 days I provided my availability for were coming to a close. Still no answer.
I followed up again the following Monday and finally received an answer that they lost my profile and had already filled the role. I was so bummed I didn't even get the chance to interview before they closed this role, but I was still very excited about what Kin Insurance could offer me so I asked if they had any other open opportunities aligned with my background.
Although I was looking for a supervisor role, she said they had a sales agent opening. I said I would love to learn more about it and asked for the job description + salary. range.. Unfortunately I was ghosted again and never got the info on the other role, which I would have happily looked into.
The salary range, benefits, etc., were all fair for this role - just very disappointed with the process and lack of professionalism.
