I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Kirkland & Ellis (Los Angeles, CA) in Feb 2022
Interview
Initial phone call with internal recruiter, then 2 in-person interviews on separate days. Time between initial interview and last interview was about 2 weeks. Internal recruiter was very responsive. Interview was similar to interviews at other big law firms.
Easy process, no hard questions, very conversational but not much real substance to the process. Hard to judge how you did based off the interview. Very little even behavioral questions were asked.
The interview was easy, three attorneys, two partners and one associate. Not super formal and did not ask much about specific knowledge of corporate or transactional work. Overall, the interview was easy.
Done through law school. Did not feel rigid. Was conversational. Mostly about connecting and ensuring we had a good relationship. Nothing technical or even remotely technical. Then had a follow up.
